A DIVISION OF WORLDBIZZ PTE LTD

Studio Worldbizz - doing the Design + Architecture for international projects that involves our expertise in Aquarium Specialist Works (ASW) for world-class Underwater World projects and Dolphinarium, Water Theme Parks, and designs that uses PMMA Acrylic. In Studio Worldbizz, AQUATONIC takes to the Design + Architecture making the design up to Pre-Construction stage where the local architects will then provide construction drawings and submission to authorities. Worldbizz is capable of building the Aquarium Specialist Works which involve the use of PMMA Acrylic and Life Support Systems to the project.

AQUATONIC is a Brisbane based architectural and design practice, engaged in a wide variety of project types across a range of locations and environments around the world. We promote high quality yet practical design solutions that positively consider the end user as well as the developer and builder. Our approach to design is one of inclusiveness and partnering - all stakeholders are part of the solution. Excellent design outcomes are important for every project regardless of budget or scope.

One of the core focus areas for the practice are aquatic projects. We are experienced to undertake two major urban developments on the Mediterranean coast of Tripoli, Libya. Both projects are approximately 100 Ha in area and involve master planning, developed design and presentation.

Moving into the China market, STUDIO WORLDBIZZ wins contract to provide design and concept of an Eco project in Tianjin under the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city. The Eco-city is a bilateral collaboration project between Singapore and China to develop an economically vibrant, socially harmonious, environmentally-friendly and resource-efficient city in Tianjin.

Eco-city will become a model satellite city, serving the surrounding regions with its efficient administration, business-friendly policies and conducive living environment. It will also bring the Eco-ctiy closer to realizing its vision of being the model of sustainable development for other Chinese cities.

Dream Island is just one of the several projects at the Eco-city.

In this project, we introduced a well-balanced Eco Theme Park that includes an Eco-village of retail shops and restaurants; a Butterfly Dome; Ice World; Dinosaur Park; a new concept called the Real and Reel Aquarium where the real sea environment is combined with real life exhibits, Projection Mapping and Virtual Reality.

Our design and concept was well received and approved by the Sino-Singapore Eco-City Tianjin Committee. Phase 1 construction works already commenced in April 2016. Phase 2 construction works will commence in 3rd quarter of 2016.

The Real and Reel Aquarium Exhibit will indeed pave the way for more of such projects built at a lower construction cost than in building a full-scale mega Aquarium. There are some real exhibits in real water environment acrylic tanks and large virtual exhibits using state-of-the-art Project Mapping technology. There is no running costs for feeding and water change and filtration. In addition to this, our design includes life-size sea creatures, namely sea dinosaurs that are built in animatronics.

This project, also called Dream Island-Tianjin, brings together all business partners of WORLDBIZZ, who becomes a consortium to bid for the project. The development proposed is not that of a 'normal' theme park. What we have proposed is a different type of entertainment precinct and this is why the government supports it. We proposed the Lakeside Retail Precinct that will provide a direct revenue stream from the adjacent population of residential housing. Technology is changing rapidly thus most of the interactive displays will be housed within very simple to construct spaces allowing exhibits to be continually upgraded when technology changes. The dome design will become a large exhibit in itself. The thermal benefits of covering the buildings make it feasible, and although may be higher initial capital costs, should result in a significant effect on the reduction of running costs.
